Big Vern n the Shootahs are delighted to have been chosen as the entertainment at the 2012 Great British Ball which will be held in the Shangri-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday 13th October 2012.  The organising committee chose Big Vern n the Shootahs over a number of international bands and artistes who pitched for the show.

Big Vern n the Shootahs performed at the GBB in 2011 and are set to raise the roof once more and knock the audience’s socks off.

Speaking about the invitation, band spokesman Martin Bell said;

” In 2011 it was a ‘once in a lifetime’ trip and we are pinching ourselves that we have the chance to travel again to a beautiful part of the world where we have the most generous hosts.  They treated us like very special guests and we’ll make sure we don’t let them down in 2012.  It is a fantastic honour to be invited and a very special night is already being planned”

Big Vern n the Shootahs have teamed up with Radio Forth and Asda for a forthcoming ‘Big Night Out’ with all proceeds going to the ‘Cash for Kids Charity’

On Friday 18^th May 2012 the band will perform at the event which is being held at the Beancross Hotel in Falkirk; check out here for directions and information.  As well as a full set from Big Vern n the Shootahs, the band will be joined by Forth FM DJ Martin Ewart

Yorkhill Children’s Foundation is ten years old, and to celebrate our tenth anniversary, we are hosting our first ever Yorkhill Ball on Friday 16th March 2012 – and you are invited! This will be the birthday party of the year, held in the fabulous Grand Ballroom of the newly refurbished Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. Sparkling reception from 7pm.

As well as being a formal black tie dinner, this year The Yorkhill Ball will be themed in the style of a classic children’s birthday party, and will include all the party games you will remember like Pass The Parcel and Musical Statues. There will even be a midnight feast when the clocks strike twelve! The boys are besides themselves in anticipation of the world famous (in Lanarkshire) annual Ladies Night at Hamilton Park Racecourse, Saturday 30th July.  This is one event where the Big Vern shades definitely help the boys from being distracted by such a gorgeous audience.
